Title: Gold & Silver Dealers in Wyoming
Post by: Terence on December 08, 2011, 01:13:10 PM

This thread is to assist FSWers in finding the best gold & silver dealers
in various areas of Wyoming.  It can take a web search, a dozen calls and a few trips
before finding the dealer with the best prices. Once that initial work is done I've found
it all comes down to one (Maybe two) dealers that are consistently best and reliable.

As the best dealers emerge please take the time to post their contact info
along with a brief note about your experience. Also, please include the dealers' buy/sell prices
in relation to the spot price on the day of your purchase or sale.

Coin shop is pickey. He sells old coins mostly and dosent have much interest in PM's

Marvs place is a Pawn Shop. Not a good place to go for metals. But they do usually have a good supply of guns. :D

Thanks, C-WY.  He only seemed mildly interested on the phone on Wednesday. And yet,
today he paid $1 below spot for all three 10 oz bars of silver, Go figure.  The guys' name
is Dwight Brockman.

So, this is an update to the first name on the below list in Cheyenne, "Coin Shop" on Lincoln Way.

I understand there was a big move in the PM markets recently over something the Fed or ECB did.

If you can't find a dealer close enough to you in WY I can
recommend these guys in Bozeman, MT.

http://www.sqmetals.com

They are $1/oz higher than a large metro coin dealer but
they are honest and take orders only for what they physically
have in inventory.

Something I've noticed recently is that PM dealers are coming under
new and local regulatory attack, such as requiring more and records.  Since this is
apparently beginning to spread like a slow wildfire out here in the West, I suspect
quiet federal pressure behind the scenes.

So, I see the days of no-ID/cash sales at dealers as numbered.  I highly recommend that
you establish a personal relationship with a good dealer ASAP, even if it is some distance away.

And, also, start to network with local PM mavens, as the storefront dealer option won't be
with us forever.  We are soon in for currency controls and a new wave of financial restrictions.
The PTB well know that too many Americans are figuring out that they live in the nicest sheep pen
on the planet, yet still want out.

Sounds like they want the same sort of thing for metals that they already have with guns. All well and good (for them), but being actually able to benefit from that information is pretty doubtful. Maybe for the occasional "troublesome" individual; but if they think they will be able to capture all those coins or those guns they have another think coming. Of course this is probably driven more by the usual bureaucratic imperative than anything else. Think of it as trading your liberty for bureaucrat job security.  ::)

I am very sorry to report that the owner Dwight Brockman and another
were shot and killed in a July armed robbery.

I didn't know him well, only as an occasional customer.
He was a fair trader, and reliable.
What a bummer.
